Session One Introduction to Interactive Activities with MimioStudio

 

Objective:

1. Participants will demonstrate an understanding of 21st Century teaching and learning. 

2. Participants will recognize classroom environments and tools to support 21st Century learning. 

3. Participants will learn various tools within MimioStudio software. 

4. Participants will create an activity page with text.

Teaching and Learning Activities: 

Instructor will lead participants to:

  • Explore definitions and discuss the different levels of the 21st Century skills and environments.
  • Examine the rubric for the implementation of technology and information literacy integration.
  • Identify how using interactive software will enhance teaching and learning by allowing students to interact with one another to communicate, create, and collaborate.
  • Learn and practice using tools on the main toolbar in MimioStudio.

      

Formative Assessment:

  • Participants will create a student-centered activity using the tools on the main toolbar in MimioStudio and will be assessed with rubric supplied by instructor.
